Join our team: cake decorator (North Carolina)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a cake decorator in Craven County, North Carolina. You will work in a hotel pastry kitchen. Requirements: • Able to lift 25 kg flour sacks • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens Day to day you will keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards; load and unload the deck oven with a peel; shape loaves, rolls, baguettes and buns by hand; proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them; prove dough in the proofer at the right temperature and humidity; decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream. Full-time with occasional weekends. $150 per day, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
