We are recruiting: we are hiring a gas pipeline fitter in Des Moines County, Iowa. You will be based on commercial and industrial sites. On the job you will handle: • Fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation • Install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves • Braze copper gas lines and weld carbon-steel pipe joints • Fit flexible connection hoses and bayonet fittings to the appliances You should have: • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
