Great opportunity: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Oglethorpe County, Georgia. The job is at a precision engineering workshop. On the job you will handle: • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper Requirements: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through On-the-job training and a clear path to grow.
