Urgent requirement: we are hiring a shuttering fixer in Bridgend county borough, Wales. Day to day you will erect wall and column formwork to line, level and plumb; fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure; watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement; assemble and align system formwork panels (Doka, Peri, MIVAN); brace and strut the formwork to stop movement during the pour; strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured. You should have: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long shifts • Knows de-shuttering times and concrete curing Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
