Safety marshal • Sitka City and Borough, Alaska

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a safety marshal in Sitka City and Borough, Alaska. You will work in a warehouse and logistics yard. Ideal candidate: • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces The role involves conduct job hazard analysis (JHA) on every new task; record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date; take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; ensure MSDS/SDS sheets are on hand for every chemical on site. Rotating shifts. $23 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
