Heavy equipment operator — Tazewell County

Now hiring: we are hiring a heavy equipment operator in Tazewell County, Virginia. On the job you will handle: • Grease the pins, bushings and slew ring at the start of each shift • Carry out daily pre-start checks on engine oil, coolant, hydraulic fluid and track tension • Keep the cab clean and complete the daily machine logbook • Top up diesel, inspect hydraulic hoses for leaks and report defects • Load trucks with spoil, aggregate and overburden using the bucket • Backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations Requirements: • Knowledge of pre-start inspections and basic machine maintenance • Good depth perception and hand-eye coordination At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
