Now hiring: we are hiring a stone mason in Mitchell County, North Carolina. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' experience working with marble, granite and natural stone • Physically fit and able to lift and carry heavy slabs • Able to read measurements, templates and cutting lists Day-to-day duties: • Level and align slabs so joints stay tight and surfaces sit flat • Fix marble cladding to building facades with anchors and clamps • Polish stone surfaces to a high gloss using diamond pads and polishing compound • Shape edges, bullnoses and bevels with an angle grinder and profiling wheels • Cut marble and granite slabs on a bridge saw with diamond blades • Measure up and template countertops and floor areas before cutting At least 3 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Walk-in interviews this week.
