Immediate opening: foundry operative (North Carolina)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a foundry operative in Wilson County, North Carolina. Day to day you will pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity. Requirements: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
