Gtaw welder wanted in Grundy County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Grundy County, Missouri. Your main tasks: • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Pay around $6,000 per project, based on your experience. Meals and transport allowance provided. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
