Now hiring: we are hiring a rebar foreman in Northumberland, England. You will work on a busy residential building site. What we are looking for: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites Day to day you will lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; assemble column and beam cages on the bench; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. £2,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time with occasional weekends.
