Immediate opening: groundworker (Iowa)

Now hiring: we are hiring a groundworker in Polk County, Iowa. Requirements: • Prior experience as a labourer on building or civil sites • Punctual and ready to do overtime when a pour demands it The role involves: • Mix concrete and mortar to the correct ratio, by hand or in a pan mixer • Erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up • Break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker • Dig foundation trenches and pits with pick and shovel • Fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
