Vacancy available: we are hiring a presser in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. You will be based at a textile finishing unit. Your main tasks: • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets Full-time with occasional weekends.
