We are recruiting: gantry crane operator (New York)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gantry crane operator in Lewis County, New York. Ideal candidate: • Able to read load charts and lifting plans • Valid crane operator licence or certificate (CPCS, NPORS or local equivalent) Day-to-day duties: • Fit the counterweights and check the ground bearing pressure • Grease the slew ring and inspect the wire rope for broken strands • Follow hand signals and radio calls from the banksman or slinger • Hoist, slew and lower loads smoothly and under control • Park up the crane, stow the jib and isolate at end of shift • Keep a safe distance from overhead power lines Six days a week, one day off.
