Requirements: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Your main tasks: • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job At least 2 year(s) in a similar role.
