Earthmoving plant operator wanted in Yukon-Koyukuk Census Area

Great opportunity: we are hiring an earthmoving plant operator in Yukon-Koyukuk Census Area, Alaska. The job is at a stone quarry. What we are looking for: • Awareness of site safety, PPE and lifting procedures • Minimum 2-3 years' experience operating earthmoving machinery • Comfortable working long shifts in dust, heat and noise On a typical shift you will check for underground cables and services before digging; backfill and compact soil around pipes and foundations; operate the boom, stick and bucket to dig, lift and place material; keep a safe distance from excavation edges and overhead lines; break rock and concrete with the hydraulic breaker attachment; read site drawings and follow the batter and slope profiles. Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. Walk-in interviews this week.
