Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gas installation technician in Jefferson County, Alabama. The job is at a heating and plumbing contractor. You should have: • Valid gas fitter's licence and Gas Safe (or local) registration • Sound knowledge of gas safety regulations and pressure testing • Driving licence for travel between sites Your main tasks: • Install gas meters, regulators and isolation valves • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation • Fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls • Locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections • Read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes • Check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray At least 5 year(s) in a similar role.
