Metal caster — Fairfield County

Join our team: we are hiring a metal caster in Fairfield County, South Carolina. The role involves fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling 1+ years on the tools preferred.
