Aluminium tig welder • Jackson County, Michigan

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an aluminium tig welder in Jackson County, Michigan. Your main tasks: • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints Requirements: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) We offer $250 per day plus benefits.
