Steel fixing chargehand • Marion County, Florida

Immediate opening: we are hiring a steel fixing chargehand in Marion County, Florida. The job is at a rebar fabrication workshop. Your main tasks: • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Assemble column and beam cages on the bench • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder • Form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions Ideal candidate: • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Comfortable working at height and in deep excavations • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire Overtime paid at a premium rate. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
