Slinger signaller wanted in Allegany County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a slinger signaller in Allegany County, Maryland. You will be based at a shipyard. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles • Physically fit to handle heavy chains, slings and shackles • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness Day-to-day duties: • Tag and quarantine any damaged or out-of-date rigging gear • Rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position • Guide loads through tight openings into their final position • Check sling angles to stay within the working load limit • Calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift Part-time with flexible hours.
