Vacancy available: we are hiring a reinforcement fitter in Franklin County, Maine. Day to day you will tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; lap and splice bars to the specified lap length; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Aware of concrete cover and tolerance requirements Full-time with occasional weekends. $4,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
