Join our team: we are hiring a pipe tig welder in Walton County, Florida. The job is in a pipe-spool fabrication yard. Day-to-day duties: • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) Ideal candidate: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings $3,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
