Day-to-day duties: • Proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them • Boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing • Roll out short-crust and biscuit dough • Pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls • Keep work surfaces and equipment clean to food-safety standards Ideal candidate: • Accurate at weighing and following recipes • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
