Now hiring: we are hiring a cnc lathe setter in Russell County, Kentucky. The job is at a busy machine shop. Requirements: • Able to read engineering drawings and GD&T • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred Day to day you will check diameters and lengths against the spec sheet; set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54); run first-off inspection and sign off the part; top up coolant and clear swarf from the bed; change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear; watch the machine through the cycle and clear alarms or crashes.
