We are recruiting: steel fixer (England)

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a steel fixer in Borough of Stockport, England. The job is at a precast concrete yard. On a typical shift you will read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; lift and land prefabricated cages with the crane and banksman. You should have: • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) Rotating shifts. £1,950 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
