Join our team: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Shiawassee County, Michigan. The job is at an aluminium die-casting plant. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal Day-to-day duties: • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles Full-time, day shift.
