Gtaw welder — Douglas County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Douglas County, Nevada. Day-to-day duties: • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight 3+ years on the tools preferred.
