Immediate opening: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Grays Harbor County, Washington. The job is on the moulding line. Requirements: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding Your main tasks: • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture Meals and transport allowance provided.
