Shakeout operator wanted in Wheeler County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a shakeout operator in Wheeler County, Texas. The job is at an aluminium die-casting plant. Your main tasks: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects What we are looking for: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
