Pipe TIG welder — Brazoria County

Now hiring: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Brazoria County, Texas. You will be based on a structural steel site. What we are looking for: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Day-to-day duties: • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks Full-time with occasional weekends.
