The role involves: • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled • Monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain • Dress the chilled counter and rotate stock by date • Sharpen and hone knives on a steel and whetstone • Take customer orders and advise on cuts and cooking Requirements: • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter • Quick and accurate on the weighing scales and order maths • Able to use a band saw, grinder and sausage filler Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
