Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Umatilla County, Oregon. You will be based in a stainless steel kitchen-equipment unit. You should have: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols The role involves strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish. 2+ years on the tools preferred.
