Great opportunity: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Preble County, Ohio. You will be based on a structural steel site. Ideal candidate: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard On the job you will handle: • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
