Immediate opening: we are hiring a pipe TIG welder in Bennington County, Vermont. The job is at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. Day-to-day duties: • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool Requirements: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety Part-time with flexible hours. $4,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
