Sample machinist wanted in West Dunbartonshire

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sample machinist in West Dunbartonshire, Scotland. You will be based in a small denim manufacturing unit. Ideal candidate: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching The role involves trim loose threads, clip curves and notch corners as you go; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required. 5+ years on the tools preferred. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
