Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon welder in Wetzel County, West Virginia. Your main tasks: • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required Ideal candidate: • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances We offer $4,300 per month plus benefits. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
