Immediate opening: we are hiring a brick mason in Lyon County, Iowa. You will checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses; buttering the perpends and tapping each brick down to the gauge; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish. What we are looking for: • Reliable timekeeping and able to hit daily brick targets • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. $4,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
