Requirements: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work Day-to-day duties: • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish 4+ years on the tools preferred. ₦195,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
