Immediate opening: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Sullivan County, Indiana. You will work at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. On the job you will handle: • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Full-time with occasional weekends.
