Vacancy available: we are hiring a halal butcher in Lincoln County, Georgia. You will work in a hotel or restaurant butchery. Requirements: • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Clean, presentable and friendly at the counter The role involves: • Trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts • Vacuum-pack and wrap customer orders • Run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone • Keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools • Break down beef, mutton and chicken carcasses into primal cuts • Portion steaks, chops and cutlets to the ordered weights Meals and transport allowance provided.
