We are recruiting: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Jackson County, Illinois. The job is in a food and dairy equipment factory. Requirements: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Own basic hand tools and PPE Your main tasks: • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
