Mason's helper • Ford County, Illinois

Great opportunity: we are hiring a mason's helper in Ford County, Illinois. You will be based on a building construction site. You will clear debris and sweep the slab before the next pour; erect and dismantle scaffolding and pass materials up; set out levels with line and plumb under the mason's direction; cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days; fix and strip shuttering and formwork for beams and columns; load and unload trucks of cement, steel bar and aggregate. What we are looking for: • Punctual and ready to do overtime when a pour demands it • Physically fit and comfortable working at height • Wear safety helmet, boots and gloves at all times Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Walk-in interviews this week.
