Stainless steel welder wanted in Montgomery County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Montgomery County, Iowa. You will work at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. Day to day you will select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks. You should have: • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Able to pass a weld test on the spot Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Part-time with flexible hours.
