Health and safety supervisor • Wayne County, Illinois

We are recruiting: we are hiring a health and safety supervisor in Wayne County, Illinois. Day to day you will stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; update the risk register and method statements (RAMS); verify lifting gear, slings, shackles and crane test certificates; check PPE such as helmets, goggles, gloves and ear plugs and issue replacements; carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; audit housekeeping and barricading around excavations and open edges. What we are looking for: • Confident enough to halt unsafe work on the spot • Sound knowledge of local OSH and factory act regulations • Physically fit for full-site inspections on foot 1+ years on the tools preferred.
