We are recruiting: we are hiring a metal caster in Richland Parish, Louisiana. The job is in a non-ferrous casting shop. Requirements: • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry The role involves: • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
