Earthmoving equipment operator — City of Suffolk

Vacancy available: we are hiring an earthmoving equipment operator in City of Suffolk, Virginia. You will be based on a busy civils and groundworks site. On a typical shift you will excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs; inspect tracks, bucket teeth and pins for wear before start-up; dig foundation trenches and footings to the marked depths and levels; clear sites, demolish structures and load out muck and rubble; keep the cab clean and oil-free and report defects promptly. Requirements: • Good awareness of underground services and exclusion zones • Own PPE — safety boots, hi-vis and hard hat We offer $2,900 per month plus benefits. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
