We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Trafford, England. Ideal candidate: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection On the job you will handle: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. £1,950 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
