We are recruiting: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Morris County, New Jersey. The job is on a scaffolded high-rise site. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Physically fit for lifting bricks and blocks all day Your main tasks: • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Laying bricks to the line, level and plumb • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Erecting and working off trestles and scaffold lifts • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses 4+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. We offer $3,100 per month plus benefits. Walk-in interviews this week.
