Join our team: we are hiring a bar bender and fixer in Wood County, Wisconsin. You will be based on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. The role involves set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; form stirrups, links and hooks to the correct dimensions; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing; fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules. Ideal candidate: • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing We offer $3,800 per month plus benefits.
