Immediate opening: we are hiring a foundry operative in Independence County, Arkansas. The job is on the moulding line. Your main tasks: • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings What we are looking for: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
